Art is an important avenue for children to express themselves. Hence, teaching them the technique of using various art forms to turn their observations into something that they can express themselves with, is ultimately important for their Pyshcological well-being.

My acquaintance with Kindermusik at Clover began when I tried to collect some preschool education information through the internet for my child. I am passionate in music and determined to learn the professional way to teach music for the young children. I am certain that teaching the young children would in turn develop my own-self and parenting skill and definitely benefit my child. Hence, I started my journey with Kindermusik.

While teaching, I am really glad to see children learn, express and unleash themselves through Kindermusik. I always enjoy and appreciate how this music program has opened a new way of learning for the children, and developing children in various areas, such as body-coordination skill, social skill, spatial awareness, concentration and listening skills.

I met Kindermusik 5 years ago while I researched and found out about a music and movement program near my house. After several classes, I felt the strong communication and bonding between me, as a parent, and my child through the class activities that I have learned. My daughter and I enjoyed the program a lot. It delighted our daily life with many bonding ideas, and I have also gradually learned to handle a toddler in the most wonderful way. From then onwards, I have a strong interest in early childhood and the Kindermusik program. After a few years of being a Kindermusik parent, I decided to take up the challenge of going through the Kindermusik Educator training for my self-development. The mission to bring laughter and create bonding for all parents and their children is now my passion in teaching the Kindermusik program.

I started my career as a Graphic Designer in Selangor. After deciding on settling down back in my hometown, Johor Bahru I came across Clover Learning Centre job advertisement and decided to challenge myself in a new field. When I first started this early childhood career, I was amazed by how children as young as three years old are independent and also good in their language skills. With Clover’s training and exposure, I start to learn more about Montessori education and how this method helps to build a strong character in children and prepare them for their next level. At the same time, I also learn to upgrade my skills and develop my creativity. I believe that the greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.

I was amazed by how the children learn through Montessori Method when I did my internship at Clover Learning Centre in the year 2012. I believe that everything in life with regards to attitudes, behaviours, characteristic as well as skills need to have a good and stable foundation since young. Therefore, sensitive period is so important to a child. It is priceless to see the children being able to work independently and learn in a joyful environment. I learn so much from the children when I become a true educator.

Montessori Directress

I have been working in proper Montessori school since the year 1999. Throughout these years, I am amazed at how a sensitive period is so important to a child and children are always encouraged to work at the pace that is right for them. There are no grades or tests, children are never in competition with one another. I believe children have a natural spontaneous goodness and love, a natural desire to learn and work, if we can give them exactly the right conditions and right help.

I having been teaching in the Montessori environment since June 2001 and I am still amazed at how children learn and develop various skills using the step-by-step Montessori methods. I derive a great sense of satisfaction when the children know how to read and spell and do mathematical sums all by themselves, and they often ask for more! This is the “magic” of Montessori, children love to learn. Furthermore, as Montessori teaches children more than the usual academic subjects, I learn a lot throughout the years of teaching in Montessori schools.

I began my Montessori career from May 1997, and have worked in Sri Lanka and USA. I have been teaching in an International School in Sri Lanka for 10 years and had the privilege to see children who first came to me at 2.5 years old succeed in educational, sports and other extra curricular activities. All children have their own capabilities as educators it’s our duty to observe and to help the children to bring out their hidden talents they have within them. The Montessori School’s culture is devoted to helping each child grow toward independence by building confidence, competence, self-esteem and respect for others. More than an approach to education, Montessori is an approach to life. The School respects children as self-directed individuals and fosters their growth toward independence and social responsibility, while creating a joyful, diverse and family-oriented community.

Teaching has always been my passion since young. Imparting knowledge to children, parents and teachers is something that I have been doing for the past few years. I derive great sense of satisfaction in sharing my knowledge of what real education should be with everyone. When I read my Diploma in Montessori, it has further enahanced my knowledge in Psychology and opened my eyes in the world of Early Childhood Education. 0 to 6 years old are the best years for children to learn to be independent, be disciplined and develop concentration level. Hence, this alerted me to look for a pre-school that can give a Whole-Child-Education to my children, nieces and nephews. In the end, I did not find one. Hence, I set up one.
